Whats Happenin' Now?

So, I know I haven't updated much lately on life in the big city, but I finally have found some time. If you have been curious about what I have been up to lately, let me just show you.

A picture is easier then trying to explain it all.

Yep, thats right. There I am, spending I don't know how many hours having to lounge by a pool, getting some much needed sun while my nanny, I mean my mother, watches the baby. Its tough work but somebody's got to do it. Someone has to sit by the pool and keep the pool chairs occupied.
Ok...ok...so I might be stretching the truth a little, but we are staying with my parents at their wonderful house with their wonderful pool. Joey has been working now for about a week and a half and really loves it! He is excited to continue to learn the business and to continue to get to know his coworkers. We have been doing alot of real estate research in Fort Worth and the other surrounding areas. We have a realtor and have gone looking for the perfect home. We haven't found it yet, but we know we will. I also wanted to fill yall in on Jess and my newest little twin venture. We are starting a photography business and have been researching and acquiring all of the "glass" that we will need. Those of us in the photography industry call their lenses "glass", because it sounds so much cooler. We have got our website up and have already ordered the business cards and fliers. I am so excited! I got the Photoshop CS4 program, which if you don't know is the HOLY GRAIL of the digital photography world. We already have three photo shoots for the first three weekends in May, and one in June.
Check out our website here!

Anywho, that is what is happenin' here. I feel as though you would leave this post unfulfilled if I closed it without mentioning the little guy for which you all read. Don't lie we know you read this blog for the Jackson pics. I don't blame you!
So, here you go. These are some Easter pics I took of Jackson. I gave him a Peep and then got my camera to document.

He didn't know what to do with it at first. He just carried it around with him.

Tasting.....

Spitting.....

Definately didn't like it. Look at that face!!!

Whoops....we dropped the Peep. He hated it, but still wouldn't put it down! He carried it around calling it a "pep".

Holla!!!

He tried it again, just to make sure he didn't like it. He still didn't like it. I wonder why, check out the dirt and grass on it by now.

Easter Part Two

What a wonderful Easter '09!!!! I will just say that Jesus raising from the dead and giving us all hope is by far the most awesome thing to celebrate! And what better way to celebrate it than with family, fun, and easter eggs! We all met over at Flip and Fran's for a HUGE easter dinner. There is a picture below of everyone at the table. Seriously, be jealous. It was AMAZING!!!
I'm not sure how we actually got all the food on the table, but we made it work. We ate amazing food, and Jackson and Carson hunted Easter eggs inside since the weather didn't cooperate. I should actually clarify, Carson hunted and Jackson didn't know what he was doing. There is one pic of everyone trying to help Jackson understand the concept, but it was lost on Gus, the dog, and the 'momo'. He still had a blast and got some really fun Easter gifts like bubbles and books. He absolutely LOVES playing with Carson, so they both entertained well. Thanks guys for a great Easter. Love you, Fran, Flip, Jeff, Lauren, Carson, Amanda, Beep, Kingston, and Gus! Can't wait to see you guys this weekend.

Peeps Anyone?

Sorry for the very short Easter post, but I don't have all of the pictures I wanted to post. They are in Longview on my old computer and I am in Highland Village on my new one. Whoops! Anywho, here are a few and I promise to put many more up in the next few weeks. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!!!

Racquet and Jog....WE LOVE YOU!!!

Well, the day has officially come.....Joey's final day at Racquet and Jog. He has been with them for nearly 15 years and is now saying goodbye. This day is bittersweet really considering that we are so excited for a new adventure, yet saddened by leaving people who have meant so much to him, and me. It was a second family there, and that sentiment was echoed so brilliantly thursday night with Joey's going away party that Merle and Sharon and the rest of the Racquet and Jog team threw. At one point they all went around the table sharing memories and good wishes for Joey, which ended in a few tears. It was so wonderful for me to be able to see the relationships he has had there. He is a wonderfully gifted and compassionate man who affects everyone he meets. Thank you Merle and Sharon, and everyone else for coming to wish us well. We truly will miss you guys and we promise to stay in touch.

Its Raining....Its Pouring!

What do you get when you mix a kid with a love for the outdoors and rain? You get a mess!!! Jackson stood at our back door like this forever saying "oouuut". Since we had spent the previous three days indoors because it was cold and rainy, I decided that since it was warm and rainy, why not let him loose.

He inched his way out little by little until he just took off and went running through the rain and the huge amount of water that had collected on our back porch.

This was actually a two day thing. The first day was him running through the rain and mini swimming pool in our back yard and the second day was playing in the remaining mud puddle in the back yard. The yellow underwear was just my little touch for cute pictures. I'm so mean! he he he.
