Slip N Slide

Do you remember your slip n' slide days of summer. I do. Ours was pretty much a long yellow tarp spread out across our yard with a hose spraying on it. Wow, have they come a long way! Jackson and Carson had a ball at their Nan and Beasch's house playing on the slip n slide. I had just about as much fun watching them. They were so cute! Jackson had such a great time playing with him, it was great. Thanks guys for such a fun time.
Check out the video and the MANY pictures of this. I just couldn't get enough of them playing, so I pretty much put them all on here for your viewing pleasure. Also, stay tuned for more fun pics of our fabulously fun Longview weekend, including all three cousins together!!!!

What a Pig!

I had to post this meal Jackson ate the other day....it was CRAZY!

3 fish tenders (like chicken strip size) dipped in tarter sauce
1 jar of baby food corn
1 small bowl of mashed potatoes
a large yogurt
1/2 of a banana
and 2 nilla waffers
then had a ton of popcorn with his daddy about an hour later
I could not believe he ate this much! He is a good eater, but lately he has been packin' it away! What are we gonna do when he is a teenager?

What Makes Him Smile.....

You know what I love, besides cheesecake? I love when my child is happy. Mothers, you know what I am talking about. You would stand on your head clucking like a chicken to see your child smile or hear them laugh. It is like a drug that I can't get enough of. So, I find myself trying everything to see that smile. So, I thought I would share a few things in the past month that has really made him smile. First, I must start with the refrigerator box that my father brought home from work. He cut two windows out of the sides and a door, and put a screw in the door for a handle. It might have been Disney World! Jackson went crazy! He loves it. It now has a little Jackson sized chair in it, some toys, and a bunch of mickey mouse coloring book pages taped to the wall. He will sit in there with a flash light and play. So cute! The next thing he LOVES, is the window in my parents kitchen. This window is Bruiser, the cats, favorite spot in the house, and now it is Jackson's. He says "vindow" everytime he passes it and wants to sit up there as long as you will let him. So, the following are a few pics of these things that make him smile. I don't have a current decorated pic of the clubhouse box, but you can imagine.

You Think You Know....But You Have No Idea!

So, this blog (forewarning) is a hodge podge, a collage if you will, of the craziness that is Jackson. In case you are needing some fun facts that sum up this lovely 19month old let me fill you in. He knows his colors officially now. He used to only know "puple"(purple without the 'r') which was the only color he said. Now, he is really good with red, green, blue, and white. The others are very hit and miss.
He is LOVING the word 'no'. Whats so funny about it, is that it is so matter of factly. He doesn't scream it or even whine it, he just states it. He says it like 'thanks but, naa...I'd rather not.' It is stinkin' hilarious!
Its time to get out of the bath. 'no'.
I know what you'll like....carrots. 'no'.
His new fun words are..'oops!' 'Got it!' and 'Gimme!'
When he wants something he usually just repeats 'hep' (help) 'peese' (please) over and over again until we give in.
We like to say he know his numbers, but really he knows 6 and 3, and any number he sees will be either 6 or 3. He can't say the 'th' sound so he says 'free' and he always say it three times... 'free, free, free'. I think it is because he is trying to say 'one two three'.
Jackson still loves to torment Brusier, my parents poor cat and today was no exception. Bruiser was standing in my dad's chair facing away from Jackson who had raised his hand to "pat" him when I saw Jackson get real inquisitive about something. I literally flew from the floor as I realized what he was staring at. He was leaning into the backside of that cat with his little finger pointed straight out. I grabbed him milliseconds from that finger being stuck right in that poor cats butt. Disgusting!
He loves bugs and knows, flys, grasshoppers, beetles, and ants. He also loves to play with them, sometimes to the bugs demise.
He still entertains ever night. He puts on a naked dance after his bath and runs around the room either dancing, hopping, or doing his gymnastics, which either consists of him walking backwards, putting his head on the ground, or kicking his leg.
(At least he learned something from the classes)
We say our prayers every night and now sometimes he will say 'pray' and put his little hands together and then say 'Amen'! Its so cute!
He has 10 teeth. He has the top four, the bottom four, and then two molars. He skipped some and went straight for the big chompin' teeth.
He LOVES pickles and popcorn and strawberries.
He is the BEST! We are so thankful for him and his fun personality.
Thanks for taking the time to read some random fun facts about our little man.
