Dallas Baby Shower

I had a baby shower in Dallas a couple weekends ago and had such a fabulous time. It started out amazing because my awesome aunt Vicki who I haven't seen in about a year and a half came all the way from St. Louis to come!!! It was such a surprise! Thanks aunt Vicki for the awesome surprise, and Uncle Ron for letting us steal your amazing wife for the weekend. I loved seeing everyone and catching up. The hostesses of the shower did such an amazing job, Jessica Williams, Cindy Kveton, and Virginia Foley, with help from my aunt Vicki and my mom. They made this such a specail time. I wish I had more photos to show you, but my computer has been messing up, so here is what I have.

Softball and Salsa

Well, Team Ted had a big game last night. They played very well, but didn't pull out the win. They lost in extra innings 21 to 22, but played great none the less. The girls had a great time watching them. But, you can't expect us to watch a softball game for an hour and a half and pay attention the whole game. We did alot of talking too. Surprise...surprise.
Well, enough about softball, lets talk about salsa. The Court House just got a new class called Cardio Salsa. The instructors and all the trainers were told that they had to participate in the class and practice. So me and my large belly got with all the other trainers and did the mambo like we knew what we were doing. After the initial humiliation, I hiked up my shirt to show off my belly, because its all about the sexiness right! Yeah...sure. It was a ton of fun and I would reccommend the class to anyone wanting to have a great cardio workout. Come on ladies come shake it on tuesday nights! And if this pregnant girl can do it....anyone can!!!! Sorry, no pictures!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEEP!!!!

We had a lot of fun celebrating Joey's brother's birthday on saturday night. We had a little friendly competition with the Nintendo Wii and our very own bowling tournament. We ate way too much mexican food and chocolate cake, but worked it off by playing the Wii. Seriously, we have all said that we are sore from the repetitive bowling motion. That is quite sad. Oh well, its all for the competition. We had a great time and are glad that we were able to celebrate with him.
Happy Birthday Beep!

Team Ted

Joey and some friends have been playing on a city softball team. Their team name is Ted, named after their pitcher and Joey's good friend who also was the inspiration for their team colors. Brown and yellow are his favorite colors. This team has been a lot of fun to watch because they definately don't take themselves very seriously. They are currently 3 and 1, and you can catch my fabulous husband at the ball fields every wednesday evening with his game face on.(Yeah Right!)

This is my husband, who obviously doesn't embarass easily, in his high school baseball pants! Why? You ask. For comedic effect.

I passed!!!!!!

Well, I competed my three hour glucose test, which tests for gestational diabetes and I passed!!! Whoo hoo! Joey and I went to the doctor at 9:00am on thursday, having not eaten anything since the night before, and finally finished at about 12:30. There was a lot of finger pricking and blood testing, and ALOT of just sitting and waiting. Now, tell me how great my husband is, he told me that if I couldn't eat anything than he wasn't going to either. So neither of us had anything to eat until about 1:00pm that afternoon. We were starving! Thank the Lord for IHop! I was so thankful he came with me. He was so supportive and encouraging! I just had to throw that little shout out to Joey.
Well, thank you for all your prayers and encouraging words during this crazy time. I am so thankful for the support that God has put in my life. Yeah God!

Stinkin' One Point!

I had another doctor visit just recently and I had to be tested for gestational diabetes. I had to drink this glucose concoction and fast for awhile and then they drew blood to see what my body was doing. Well, I FAILED by one lousy point. You have to score a 140 or lower and I scored a 141! What this means is now I have to go back in two weeks and take the three hour (more accurate) test to determine if in fact I have gestational diabetes. The doctor assured me that it was nothing that I was eating or not doing that was causing this. She told me that, in fact, the size of your baby was a large determinant of it. The larger the baby the higher the numbers. So, pretty much this means I could be having a big ol' baby. None the less, I feel good about how I have handled this pregnancy thus far and feel very confident that God will continue to protect and grow baby Jackson. I just wanted to keep you posted on the latest with me and the baby and I will let you know what the test reveals in two weeks. Thanks for all the support and prayers!

The latest size of the belly. Only a few more months! December 16th is gonna be here before we know it!!!

AUSTIN PARTY 2007!

What a fun and fabulous weekend! I went to Austin this weekend to hang out with my friends from college (SFA). We had such a great time just hanging out and being together. Since we only get to see one another once a year, we all love this trip that we make anually. My friend Sarah and family offered for all of us to stay with them, which was awesome! The other cool thing we did was participate in an adventure race that was supporting research for breast cancer. Well, technically I didn't participate, but I was the team photographer. Check out the pictures

Labor day weekend

We had a great time this weekend in Kingwood. We went to visit Joey's family (Aunt Sarah, Uncle Mark, and cousins Chase and Sean and wife Jennifer). We celebrated Mark's birthday, we hung out by the pool, ate great food, and just had a great time being together. The boys did their draft for the NFL season, which I have learned is very serious business. Then, we just played the rest of the time. Joey and I stayed with Sean and Jennifer at their amazing new home that was just built (thanks guys), and we hung out in Mark and Sarah's backyard. Their backyard looks like a resort! Anywho, here are the pictures of our great time this weekend. Oh yeah and I forgot to mention, Joey shaved all of his hair off!!!!
