2 month check up

We survived our 2 month check up. Lets say that Jackson handled it beautifully, but mom was a mess. He had to get three shots and although I didn't cry, I made Joey hold him down while the Doc stuck him in his legs. I know there will be many more of these shots to come and I will continue to get better with each one. Jackson only cried while he was getting them, then he was ok. We also found out that he is in the 90th percentile for his length at 24in, and he is in the 50th percentile for weight at 12 lbs. He is healthy and happy. He is just growing like crazy and doing all kinds of fun things. He has so much more control of his arms and hands now and is hitting the little toys hanging from his play mat. He laughs and smiles so much now, and is sleeping great! If you could'nt already tell we are proud parents who can't wait for the next two months!!!

Its Rivalry Week Baby!!!!!

All I have to say is Duke by 11. As a family, we watched what Joey ,and Dickie V call the greatest rivalry in college sports. Duke verses North Carolina in Chapel Hill. It was a great game and as you can tell by the pictures, Jackson really got excited to cheer for his favorite team, which just so happens to be his daddies favorite. Go Blue Devils!!!!! And to quote Dickie V again....."It was awesome baby!"

Sorry the pictures are turned. They were normal but when I downloaded them they turned..go figure. Anywho, I had to post the pictures of Daddy and son watching the big game.

All About Jackson

In case you were wondering what Jackson has been up to lately let me fill you in. Here are a few things about him you may not know.
His favorite things to smile at: Daddy, the Baby Eienstien play mat, and the ceiling fan. (We are working on smiling a momma but she's not near as funny as these other things, except when she sticks her tongue out then she's funny)

His favorite thing to look at: the bright orange basketball nighlight in his room (thanks Fran and Flip) He is amazed by it and it is usually the first thing we take him to when he is crying because he loves it!

My favorite new thing he does: His high pitched squeals when he is smiling. Oh wow...it really will melt your heart.

His biggest milestone: He just slept through the night! Yeah!!!! Ok well is was from 1:30am until 7:00am but for him that is definately through the night. Praise the Lord! That is the longest stretch of sleep time we have had and are so thankful for it.

New trick: When I catch him at the right time of day and stick my tongue out at him he will try smile and do it too. So precious! I got an email from a baby website saying that around this time they will try to mimic some of your actions and so to try to stick your tongue out at them and watch them try it too. Thats mom's new favorite game. So much fun!

Wow, can a 7 week old really be this cool? Guess so. He is just growing like crazy and is almost unable to fit into some of his onsies. He seems to keep getting longer and his cheeks keep getting chubbier. I have started seeing some leg muscles (probably from all the kicking because of gas). He is just such a blessing and we are thrilled he is doing so well.
