Water Fountain Frenzy

There is a fabulous outdoor shopping center in Highland Village that we go to all the time, and they have a great area where kids can just run through all these spraying fountains.  We hadn't ever taken Jackson, so we decided it was definately time for him to go.  Jess, Johnny, Joey and I took him and just let him loose.  Well, the pictures tell the story.

The boys chillin' by the fountain
He loves putting his head in the water.  He also does this if we turn on the shower in the bath tub.

There are usually alot of kids, but because it was overcast, Jackson had it all to himself!
Each spray would eventually stop and then suddenly shoot up again, and Jackson would get his face right over the hole.  Check out Uncle Nee Nee just waiting for it to get him in the face.
As shown in this picture, Jackson would inevitable turn his head or move at the last second and miss the spray of water.  He never got a direct hit.
Uncle Nee Nee showed him how to stand over the hole before it sprayed up.

              Just being silly with Daddy.
The good ol' family pic.  Not sure what Jackson was saying to Johnny, but it sure was intense.

Just a fun pic of the famous face.

A Little Pizazz

I am always loving to blog on the nonsense that I dream up, so jump on this crazy ship and try not to drown. Ok... You know when you find something that just adds a little sparkle, or a little pizazz, maybe just a little umph to your day? Well, I found a new one.

                                                my new blue shoes!!!!

 .
I never imagined that these shoes would transform me, but in a weird kinda way they do. I put them on and I feel a little more confident and a little more sassy. I am not one to wear colorful shoes because they are too out there for me. They cause people to look...to notice, and I tend to like to stay in the background with my brown or black shoes and blend into the nice khaki walls. Now, these shoes really are just navy when you get to the nitty gritty and if you know anything about navy, it really is just a neutral anyway, but I don't want to ruin my extremely "exotic" shoe story. So, anyway all you ladies out there reading this, go buy yourselves some fun colored shoes if you don't already have some.  They make you feel spunky and fun.  If you're like me and scared of color, start with navy.  You don't have to jump to hot pink or lipstick red.  Just find a color that isn't white, black or brown or a variation of any of the three.
This brings me to my theory.
I think you can tell alot about someone by their shoes.  In fact lets do a little test.
Answer the following questions:
1. Do you have at least one pair of fun colored shoes*?
*These shoes can NOT have been worn as a bridesmaid or for halloween.
2. Do you have at least 3 pair of fun colored shoes?
3. Do you actually WEAR the shoes?
If you answered yes to one of these questions you are, SASSY
If you answered yes to two of these questions you are, SUPER SASSY
If you answered yes to all three questions you are, CRAZY WITH A CAPITAL C and I wanna hang out with you!
Seriously, let me know if I was right or way wrong.  Because I think if you are super outgoing you have probably at least two pairs of bright colored shoes in your closet.
Whats in your closet?
Oh yeah, and I loved mine so much I figured Jackson needed some too, hence the big pic at the top of my blog!

30 is the new 20!

Well, I had the great privilege of attending Beth Bills' 30th birthday party thrown at this uber swanky joint in Lindalle. Joey and I had a blast and can't thank Bills enough for inviting us. We really loved catching up and karaokeing. Beth, I told your husband this at the party, but I mean it, I want to be you when I grow up. Watching you up there on that stage with that microphone knockin' out all those Sugarland hits seriously made me think you are one of the coolest people I know, hands down. You are most certainly loved by your precious husband and obviously by so many others. Your party was so great. Bills if you're not busy, I'm turnin' 30 in a couple months and would love for you to be my party planner. Holla!!!!!!
Don't forget to check out the video at the end of the post. Also, don't miss Beth's PRICELESS expression when she walked into the place. She was sooooo surprised!

I Can't Help Falling In Love......

So, I heard this song and immediately thought of my new little nephew, Kingston and how precious little babies are. I heard the song and had to put it to some of the pics I took at his birth. He really is so precious that you fall in love the second you see him. Hope you enjoy the video.

I Love Being Creative

It has been fun playing around with my pictures and with photoshop to create "art". I guess you can call it art, although it is so subjective. I never in a million years thought I would have an art show, but I guess I will. It technically is a photography art show, so much different than other mediums. I can't draw. I can't paint. I have zero abilities to sculpt anything, so this really would be my only opportunity to express myself with "art". I will post when the date is officially set for the art show and give yall all the details.
I know I have posted before about being creative, but it just is so great to find ways to express yourself and to just imagine something and make it happen.

I call this picture....."sunflower" he he he.....super creative huh? Come on...I told you I'm not good at this art stuff.

So anyway, find yourself a creative outlet, it really helps when you are stressed. After my previous softball male bashing post I got alot of creativity out! He...he...

Fun With Friends

Jackson had the great pleasure of hanging out with one of his best buds, Trent the other day. Here are a few pics of them playing together. They play really well along side one another. I think Trent is a little scared of how loud and crazy Jackson can be, but other than that, they are so sweet together.

I'm Gonna Vent So WATCH OUT!!!!

Ok....so here I go.

My friend's blog inspired this little rant so let me fill you in. Ok, so its co-ed summer softball and she was playing catcher. A guy running home, drops down going full speed, and launches her. She did a hellicopter over home plate before finding the ground. The guy didn't appologize or help her up he just walked away. He was pissed cause she still had tagged him out. (Nice job by the way!) So, now she has problems in her leg and ankle due to this idiot who couldn't keep his ego in check.
Ok.....GET A LIFE! Really? Is your life that lame that you must attack a girl at home so you can feel like a man? Did you just really want that trophy they hand out so you can set it next to your bowling league trophy and your participation ribbon from the third grade that you probably proudly display in your living room. I'm just saying that its SUMMER SOFTBALL! If you are that serious about summer softball than you need some hobbies man. The glory days are over! But you probably never had any glory days because you couldn't hack it, so now you pick on little girls to make your ego forget that you couldn't make it. Just go find some elderly people maybe some small children and go ahead and beat them in some softball too! That will really make you feel like a MAN! You didn't make the majors bud! Give it up! You're the guy that is gonna go on and on to anyone that will listen about everything you ever did that got some attention. You need your little attention deprived ego to have a little boost, well good for you. IF you're married, wow I bet she's proud of you! I bet she went home and told all her friends how you took out the catcher cause you could. My husband, the super cool summer league super star!!! Ugghhhh!!!! Just stop. Just stop and see how foolish you look to everyone on the outside. You are not cool, though you think you are. You need something like a REALITY CHECK.
We've all seen this guy before. He comes to the game fully decked out. Head to toe uniform. Won't talk to anyone before the game cause he's "in the zone" . He gets his game bat out and practices a few swings while he chews and spits and thinks the 15 people in the stands must be there to see him in all his glory. He does some stretching routine and then chest bumps a few buddies, before strutting to the dug out ready for his "big league moment'.
Good gracious, I'm done.

Brand New Bed

Jackson was so proud of his new bed. It was awesome! He was jumping around and falling down and dancing like a maniac in the middle of the bed. He was awesome! I think he thinks its his stage. The WORLD is his stage! In Longveiw we were so blessed to have been able to borrow Carson's crib for Jackson, so it was time to buy our own.
Thanks Uncle Jeff and Aunt Sissy for letting him use Carson's crib for so long. We are so appreciative! He has been sleeping in a pack n' play at my parent's house for the last 3 months, so I know this crib feels like a King bed. Anyway, I'm sure it won't be too long before we are converting it into a big boy bed. They grow up so fast!
