Its Mom's Birthday!!!!

We had so much fun this weekend for my mom's birthday. We met Jess and Johnny in Lewisville and hung out. We went out on friday to Olive Garden (my mom's favorite restaraunt). Then, we had a friendly game of Bull Crap, which my mom won. Mom opened her gifts and we went shopping all over Lewisville. We had such a great time! Happy Birthday mom!

Enough is enough....we need to name this kid!

Ok, first things first, we need a name for this baby. We have thought through many names and have decided that the only name that will suit him is Jackson Philip. We were so excited that we could name him after his two grandpa's (my father, Jack and Joey's father, Philip). It is a good strong name! And as Joey says, it also sounds really good being announced, as Joey has rehearsed.....
"And starting at point guard, Jaaaaaaackssssson Krrrrauuussss!" Apart from that, we are just thrilled to have him named after such important people in our lives.
In other news, he is moving so much now! In fact I was the only one who had felt him until yesterday when Joey finally felt him move! He actually was moving alot because he felt him five or six times in a really short period. He was so glad that he finally was able to feel what I was feeling. I think Jackson knows I am talking about him because as I type he seems to be doing flips in my stomach. Anywho, my new favorite thing is watching my belly "jump" when he kicks. It feels like a muscle spasm and looks crazy! Isn't pregnancy wild!!! Thanks for coming along for the ride and taking an interest in our special time. We are so grateful!

Dr Visit

I had another doctor visit yesterday and everything looks great! The doctor said that the heartbeat was really strong and the heart rate was 160 beats per minute. She said she thinks its gonna be an athlete. That would be great! Whether or not he is we are just so thrilled that he is healthy. The doctor also said that we are still on for a December 16th delivery. We would be thrilled if dad and son could share the same birthday! Thank you for all your prayers and love during this great time in our lives! We are so blessed! We are both just praying that he will understand how much he is loved, especially by his Creator.

What a fun weekend!

I went to Dallas this weekend to visit my family. We also gave a friend a wedding shower, and I got to hang out with a really good friend who was in town for the weekend. Check out some fun pictures from this weekend

This is Stefanie, the lucky bride to be!

The whole crew

Look at these flowers! My mom did all of the arrangements. She is so talented!

After the shower on saturday we went over to our friend, Carrie's house for dinner. We have been friends since the 6th grade and have remained such good friends ever since. She is such an awesome person and encouragment in Jess' and my life! She is a professional soccer player in Denmark, and is heading to Brazil for a mission trip soon. What a world traveler!!!!!

I Nearly Knocked Out Two Elderly Women Today

I almost did knock out two elderly women today. Ok, maybe I didn't almost, but boy was I thinking about it. I really can't understand why people become brainless and rude around pregnant people, but they do. I have had it happen time and time again in my short 5 months of pregnancy. Today I was at the fitness club doing my job when an older woman wanted to tell me that "everytime she sees me I just keep getting fatter and fatter." That was not a miss quote...she ACTUALLY said, fatter and fatter. To jab the knife even further she decided to throw in the "maybe you should really start watching what you put in your mouth." Again, that is a direct quote. WHAT! Are these people on some sort of crack? Who tells a pregnant hormone enraged woman that she is fat and not have a death wish. What twisted the knife was when a different older woman asked me how much weight I had gained to this point. I told her around 15lbs, where she proceeded to drop her jaw to the floor in absolute HORROR because in her words, "that is already way too much weight! I only gained 12lbs total with my child." Well, did she want a cookie? Maybe a #1 mom sticker? I DONT CARE! Good for her. She left saying that I really needed to "slow down" my weight gain. And for the finale of this horrid 30 minute span was when a man asked when my baby was due and I told him December 16th. He said, "Oh gosh, what a horrible birthday." He was completely serious! I just looked at him and said, well, I don't think it will be and walked off. I HATE RUDE PEOPLE!

Pregnancy Pet Peeves

Ok, I am only 21 weeks along and still have quite a ways to go, however I am definately far enough along to already have a long list of pregnancy pet peeves.
Here are my top eight.
1. Being told that you look like you are having twins or a REALLY BIG baby. I mean why don't these people just say man you're getting fat! This brings me to my next one.
2. Being told I am eating REALLY well. Again, do these people not know that us preggars are extremely aware, to a fault, of our ever increasing weight and we don't ever need a reminder of it.
3. Having complete strangers rub on my love handles to determine whether I am carrying my weight in front or all over. Apparently, because a child is growing in my stomache people feel free to rub my belly and talk about where I store my fat.
4. People who tell me that they "would NEVER have a december baby". Well, isn't that just great that they are so much of a better planner than Joey and I.
5. Being hot ALL the time.
6. Having to pee ALL the time.
7. The countless people who tell me in the most negative tone EVER.."Well, your life as you know it will NEVER be the same again" They say it as though a funeral is about to happen not a birth. I'm not dumb I understand that life will change, obviously. But, can you be a little happy for us.
8. The horror stories. Why when you get preganant do most people want to shell out all the horrible pregnancey stories they have ever heard or gone through. NO I don't want to hear about every fetal medical problem you can think of, or miserable delivery story!
Ok...well, those are eight of my top ones. I'm sure if you have been pregnant you can understand much of what I am talking about. I have to say that even though these have all happend to me while pregnant, this experience has been such a blessing.
