Well, I have tallied the votes, and have a winner. This was NOT my word, so for that I am highly disappointed, however I must say this word deserves props. With that I have to give the shout out to Darrell, who came up with neologist, a person who makes up new words. I really thought uvula would take it, but NEOLOGIST it was by a landslide! And The Top 5 Are........

First of all, thank you guys for participating in this little challenge. I was surprised how many people got into this. I was hoping for a few responses, but ended up with 12! Ok, unfortunately I can only post the top 5 so here we go. I will tell you the word and the definition, so you will know its meaning. If you are reading this with no idea what I am talking about, scroll down and read the last blog and it should clear things up. Ok, without any further hesitation:

The Competition....trust me, you'll wanna get involved!

Ok everybody, as faithful readers of this crazy blog, I have a competition for you all today. Yes, you each can get into the action, and its gonna be FUN!!!
You DO NOT want to miss this one!
So, first let me ask you a question, "Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be an accomplished writer? To be a serious author?" Well, wonder no longer. Let me back up a bit.
After a fun father's day weekend, Johnny, my published author brother in law gave himself a little challenge, as if getting a book published isn't hard enough. He decided that he was going to allow each family member (9 in all) the opportunity to take part in his creative genious. Ok, ok I'm getting to the point. Jonathan, is in the process of writing his second book and told us that we can each choose a word that he HAS to somehow get in the book. And this is where you fine people come in. I have decided instead of just coming up with one on my own, I would ask all of you for your input. We need to make this HARD! We need Johnny to have to really work to get this word into his next book, so I need yalls ideas.
The competition will work like this. I will take any and all suggestions into consideration (as long as they follow the rules) and choose my five favorites. So, comment on the blog, email me, facebook me, whatever, but get your suggestion in. Then, I will post another blog listing the top five and from there you all can put in your vote for the winner. You could have a word in a published book!!! I will then announce the winning word and gvie many props to the creative genious who came up with it.
So, now for the rules.
1. No cuss words or anything inapropriate. It must be a G rated word. (sorry Darrell)
2. It has to be English
3. Your word has to be in by wednesday, the 24th and a winner will be chosen that friday. (Johnny's giving us a strict time line.)

I really would do anything to hear Jackson's laugh. It is infectious! I found this video and didn't think I had posted it before. So, here you go, a little walk down memory lane.

Gymastics Class

Hello bloggers. I must apologize for my lack of blogs lately. I have been neglecting it, but I shall no longer! I have plenty to blog and so be ready for more fun and fabulous details of the Kraus' crazy lives. I must first start with Jackson's first gymnastics class. I enrolled him into a once a week mommy and me class, and his first class was last Friday. I must say, that I got more of a workout than he did! We have yet to master the following directions skill yet, so for the entire 45 mintutes, I chased and redirected to what Miss V was trying to get him to do. Now, his class has five little girls in it, but unfortunately or fortunately (I'm not quite sure) none of them were there on Friday. So, Miss V had Jackson solo. Lets look on the positives of the class: he had no fear of the place or Miss V, so it wasn't like he wouldn't do anything; he wanted to do everything, just not when she wanted him to do it; he did end up following her because she stared beating a drum to get him to follow. The only problem with the drum is that he kept trying to take it from her to beat on it. Well, anyway, the class is precious and it is a good thing that he can run around and get some of that energy out. Take a look at his first class.

He's HEEEEERE!!!!

Welcome with me the beautiful, the amazing, the LARGE....KINGSTON KRAUS!!!!!! This was my best attempt at a sports announcer. Forgive me Beep and Amanda for the inadequate announcement of your precious amazing son, but I just had to post a few pics. He was 9lbs 6oz and beautiful! What a joy to be able to be apart of yalls big day! I was so honored to be able to capture some pictures of this precious event. We love you guys so much!!!!!

Look Who's Talking!

This blog is all about Jackson's sweet words. He is saying EVERYTHING now! He really amazes me. I know every mother says that, but its just that he is growing up so fast that it really surprises me how quickly they learn things. Anywho, here is a video of some of my favorite words he says. We bought a cheap set of flashcards and he LOVES them. He loves carrying them around, saying the word and having everyone clap for him. He is such an entertainer already.

1.Jackson has jumped to the 95th percentile in height for his age. He is getting so tall!
2.He LOVES to swim. We swim everyday, and he has no fear of the water. He will jump right off the edge to us. I am trying to get him into swim lessons soon. I can't wait!
3.He fake laughs all the time now. It really is hilarious! He wants everyone to laugh, so he does this crazy fake laugh.
4.Funny Story: Jackson had opened a drawer on one of our night stands and was looking at me like he was going to get in trouble so I looked at him and said, "Its ok, you can get in there." The next thing I know he has lifted one leg really high and he had his foot in the drawer trying to climb in! Ok....I didn't mean actually "get in there." I laughed alot. Children are so literal aren't they?
5.Jackson's favorite foods are cake, pretzles, and grapes.
6.He gives lots of kisses now.
7.He loves my parent's back patio and has actually taken out every loose screw that he has found from the furniture. He takes the screws out and puts them back over and over again. Dissasembling furniture already!
8.He usually wakes up really sweet. He usually starts talking as soon as he wakes up and doesn't stop until he goes to bed.
9.He loves pointing in the sky to the "panes" (planes)
10.Other than The Wiggles, his favorite movie is Garfield.

Date Night

So, since I sometimes receive nasty messages about not putting Joey and I in any posts, I decided since we went on a date and dressed up, that it would be a perfect opportunity to take some pictures and post this blog. We had a great time going out to eat and walking around Parker Square. It is an outdoor area close to my parents house with awesome shops, restaurants, and lucky for us they were having a live band play in the gazebo while tons of people hung out with lawn chairs and blankets. It was great! We people watched for a while and loved listening to the music. Thanks Joey for a great date! And thanks mom and dad for watching the baby!
