Best Friends, Botched Plans, and Boobies

You are probably wondering what this post is about, well it is an annual party to Austin of some college friends. It is officially named, Austin Party 2008, and was suppose to be spent on a "resort" on Lake Travis. The "Best Friends" part of the title is pretty self explanatory. These girls are some of my best friends and we all met in college. The "botched plans" part of this post goes something like this: The "resort", I highly stress the quotations around resort, was anything but what we were expecting. This place would have accommodated two people, three would have been pushing it, but EIGHT of us....no way! It was eclectically decorated in a Mexican theme with "the day of the dead" as the focus. There were lots of skeletons and skulls. Not really what you want on your bed sheets. The "spa" was an above ground tiny hot tub that could fit two people and was on the owners porch. The pool was an above ground circular one that was three feet deep. Did I mention this resort that was on lake Travis was no where near the lake. Anyway, after evaluating we decided we would not be able to stay there. After a pretty big confrontation with the owners, a few threats from them to charge my card and a call to my credit card company, we made it out of there. So here are a few pics of the place. We didn't get many. Sarah, thanks so much for offering up your apartment for us all to crash. We had plenty of room and we weren't out a thousand bucks!
This was one of the places some one was going to have to sleep

This chair would have been my bed

The light switch...scary!

check out our view!

Now for the final part of the post. This was when we went to this natural spring in Austin where you could swim and lay out. It was awesome and just beautiful. The only thing we weren't planning for was a very free young woman who chose to go topless right in front of us. She was nice and we had good conversation, as awkward as it was, but it was quite the different experience for all of us.
Here a few of us are talking to her. Notice the great camera work by Rachel to hide her.

The rest of these pics are us having fun!
